Nigeria is set to host its first-ever International Air Show this December, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s aviation and aerospace history.
The event, organised by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, will take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. It aims to showcase Nigeria’s growing influence in global aviation, foster international partnerships, and attract investment into the country’s aerospace sector.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend the historic occasion alongside top government officials, industry leaders, and distinguished guests from across the world.
In partnership with the Nigerian Air Force, the air show will feature a grand parade and an impressive display of Nigeria’s military aviation capabilities, highlighting the country’s technological advancements and defence strength.
The exhibition will also serve as a strategic platform for domestic airlines to engage with international carriers, sign partnership deals, and explore new business opportunities.
To ensure maximum participation, the government has announced free train rides for attendees, encouraging aviation enthusiasts, industry stakeholders, and the general public to take part in the landmark event.
The International Air Show is expected to position Nigeria as a major player in the African aviation sector and strengthen its reputation as a hub for aerospace innovation and collaboration.
