A U.S. Congressman, Riley Moore, has accused Nigerian authorities of turning a blind eye to what he described as a systematic killing of Christians across the country. Speaking during a briefing in Washington, Moore claimed that an average of 35 Christians are killed daily in Nigeria, making it “the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian.”

The lawmaker commended U.S. President Donald Trump for designating Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” and appointing him to lead an independent investigation into the alleged religious persecution.

Moore called on the international community to hold Nigerian leaders accountable, insisting that silence in the face of such atrocities only emboldens extremist groups. His remarks have reignited debate over the government’s response to religiously motivated violence and the need for stronger security interventions in affected regions.
