Oborevwori, Tonlagha, Tantita MD, Pondi, Quwor, Over 40 traditional rulers Grace 20th coronation anniversary of Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom

The Governor of Delta State Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, CEO Maton Nigeria Limited, Tantita MD, High Chief Kestin Pondi, Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu federal constituency, Rt. Emomotimi Guwor speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, over 40 traditional rulers and other top government functionaries attended the 20th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty Capt. (Dr.) Joseph Timiyan, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom.
Congress gathered that the celebration marked two decades of Timiyan’s visionary leadership, with Oborevwori praising his commitment to unity, cultural pride, and governance. The Governor assured that his administration would continue to support the Ogulagha Kingdom and other Ijaw communities, recognizing their vital role in Delta State’s economy.
However, High Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services was also in attendance. He has been instrumental in promoting peace and security in the Niger Delta region. His efforts have contributed significantly to reducing oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
Oborevwori described the event as “a historic celebration of two decades of visionary and dignified leadership,” noting that Ogulagha Kingdom has witnessed renewed cohesion, cultural pride, and stronger engagement in governance under Timiyan’s stewardship. ¹ ²
The Governor assured that no ethnic nationality in the state would be left behind under his administration, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance, peace, and even development across all communities. He highlighted the importance of Ogulagha Kingdom and other Ijaw communities to Delta’s prosperity, emphasizing that his government recognizes their vital role in the state’s economy. ³
Oborevwori also commended Timiyan for his advocacy for equity and fairness in matters affecting oil-producing communities, saying it has strengthened the bond between traditional authority and modern governance. He recalled visiting the community thrice since assuming office, describing it as a reflection of his inclusive leadership style.
The Governor emphasized his administration’s focus on prioritizing communities that contribute to national wealth, maintaining peace, and aligning with the Federal Government for Delta’s benefit. He expressed gratitude to the people of Ogulagha Kingdom for their loyalty, hospitality, and commitment to peace and progress.
