FRSC Corps Marshal Orders Construction Firms to Install Proper Road Signs at All Sites Nationwide

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has directed all construction companies operating on Nigerian roads to immediately ensure adequate placement, maintenance, and continuous updating of road signs at every active or inactive construction site without exception.

Speaking on the directive, the Corps Marshal emphasised that the measure is aimed at protecting the lives of motorists and other road users around construction zones.

He strongly condemned the persistent failure by some construction firms to provide sufficient warning, information, and diversion signs in project areas, describing the practice as unacceptable and dangerous.

To ensure full compliance, Mohammed has instructed all FRSC Commanding Officers across the country to commence immediate and strict enforcement of the order nationwide.

The FRSC warned that any construction company found violating the directive will face appropriate sanctions.
