‘Politics Is Not My Calling, Not Even $1billion Can Make Me Join’ — Bishop Oyedepo
By Micheal Chukwuebuka
The presiding pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no amount of money, including one billion dollars, could convince him to venture into politics.
He made this known while speaking at the impartation service of Shiloh 2025, the church’s annual convocation.
Oyedepo urged believers to remain committed to their divine assignments, stressing that true influence comes from operating within one’s God-given calling. Recalling events from 2015, he said he had warned the church about looming troubles, which later came to pass.
The cleric stated that partisan politics is outside his purpose, adding that even a $1 billion offer would not make him abandon his course.
He also described the world as being in deep darkness and in urgent need of divine intervention, referencing Romans 8:19 to emphasize that creation is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God.
According to him, God’s end-time army will rise to provide solutions to national challenges, similar to the roles played by biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel.
