By Monday Peters, Abuja
Chief Ebis Moni, a prominent Niger Delta leader, has extended the season’s greetings to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, CEO Maton Nigeria Limited, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, MD Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, administrator of the presidential Amnesty programme, PAP, and Dr Paul Bebenimo, Registrar NMU for their contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region, humanity and what they are doing to develop their communities.
In a statement, Chief Moni praised Tompolo, Tonlagha, Pondi, and Otuaro for their selfless service to the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta, citing their efforts in promoting peace, security, and human capital development in the region. He specifically commended Tompolo for his role in peace-building and stability, Otuaro for his reforms in the Presidential Amnesty Programme and being a gateway for Niger Delta educational development, and Pondi for employing over 40,000 Niger Delta youths through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
Chief Moni urged Niger Delta leaders and stakeholders to emulate the philanthropic lifestyles of these individuals, emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity in achieving progress and empowerment for the region.
“I appreciate Tompolo, Kestin Pondi, Dr Dennis Otuaro, Engr Matthew Tonlagha and Dr Paul Bebenimo for recognizing me. I hail them for what they are doing in the Ijaw nation. I am from the Ojobo community, and not from the Gbaramatu kingdom but I must confess that they have made the Ijaw nation proud.
“I always make reference to them because they love themselves and the love, unity and mutual respect they have for themselves are producing great results, unlike some of my Ojobo community people, precisely two of them want to kill me. I have not seen the kind of love Gbaramatu people have for themselves.
“I have wished other Ijaw communities to emulate them. The level of the development the above leaders have attracted to their place is unimaginable. But my people want to kill me for nothing. It is a pity, I will expose them when the time comes”.
