BREAKING: Afrobeats Singer Destiny Boy Mysteriously Dies at 22

Afrobeats singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, has reportedly passed away at the age of 22.

The news of his death was made public on Sunday, January 18, 2025, by Instagram investigative journalist Temilola Sobola, who announced the development in a social media post. Sobola wrote, “Singer Destiny Boy has passed away. May his soul rest in peace.”

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of death has not been confirmed or officially disclosed.

Destiny Boy, who rose to prominence at a young age in Nigeria’s music scene, had recently been in the news in November 2024 after reports emerged that he welcomed his first child at the age of 20.
