Community leader lauds, Okowa, Agediga, Desopadec, Dabskic over Obotobo I Jetty project

A foremost leader in the Obototo I community, Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Ato Deck Pere has commended His Excellency Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State, Amb. Dr Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director (ED), Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) for citing a landing jetty project in Obotobo I Community.

Deck, specially thanked Dr Agediga for influencing such a laudable project in the community, noting that his good gesture would forever be remembered.

The community leader equally lauded the contracting firm Dabskic Dredging and Construction (WA) Ltd for doing a good job in the community. The statement was contained in a press release signed by himself and sent to newsmen on Friday.

While lauding Amb. Shedrack described him as a perfect example of an illustrious son of Ogulagha Kingdom and particularly the Ijaw nation, adding that he is proud of Agediga and his achievements over the years.

According to him, the landing jetty is very important to the community, noting that a huge burden had been lifted off the shoulder of the community.

The community also appreciated the entire management board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission for awarding such a key project in the community.

His words, ” the people of Obotobo I Community and the entire Ogulagha Kingdom are feeling the positive impacts of Agediga good works. No doubt, such progressive leadership can only be possible owing to the understanding among officials of the commission”.

Deck narrated that DESOPADEC as a commission had never affected the Ogulagha Kingdom as much as this current board, stressing that what the commission is doing is something that would be difficult to surpass by subsequent boards.

He lauded His Excellency, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State for appointing credible people like Agediga into such a board that always prioritise the development of his people.
