Alagba-Led Governing Council Inaugurated In Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom

Over the weekend, a new governing council led by Comr. Mefe Bright Alagba was sworn in for the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of a two-year term for the council, which will govern the kingdom in accordance with its constitution.

The council members include:
– Comr. Mefe Bright Alagba – Chairman
– Mr. Ebiye A. Ebiye (Jr) – Vice Chairman
– Comr. Nathaniel Oromoni – Secretary
– Pst. Timipere Gbenebode – PRO
– Pst. Blessing Sowel – Asst. Secretary
– Mr. Louis Mem – Member
– Mr. Emmanuel Okpomu – Treasurer
– Mr. Newman Ayayelbo – Financial Secretary
– Sandra Ikika – Member
– Pst. Lucky Denghan – Member
– Mr. Louis Burutu – Member
– Mr. Stanley T. Senne – Member
– Mr. Joseph I. Oromoni – Member
– Princess Tamaraemi Oromoni – Ex Officio
– Comr. Victor Akemotubo – Member

The inauguration is part of the kingdom’s tradition, held every two years to appoint a new governing council.

The traditional ruler of the kingdom, HRM King Couple Oromoni, the morbine III, who presided over the inauguration, admonished the chairman and his cabinet to show commitment and dedication towards the development of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.

He further emphasised the need for accountability, integrity and public trust amongst the members of the governing council.
