DSS Arrests Notorious Suspected Gunrunner

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested a suspected gunrunner, Kelvin Ebikeniye Dugo, in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State.

A statement by the DSS says the arrest follows credible intelligence on his plan to procure 832 rounds of live ammunition from a supplier in Benue State.

He was intercepted moments after receiving the consignment, which was cleverly concealed in food items.

Items recovered include 832 rounds of ammunition and two empty AK-47 magazines.

The DSS says the operation underscores its intensified nationwide crackdown on gun running and illegal arms proliferation.
