Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected high-profile collaborators of Boko Haram during a targeted operation in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to a publication by Zagazola Makama, the suspects were apprehended around 5pm on March 15 at Miringa Market following credible intelligence reports.

Security sources identified the suspects as Dattiwa Ali and Jidda Abdullahi, alleging they played key roles in coordinating a sleeper cell and stockpiling arms and ammunition for terrorist groups operating in the region.

The operation was carried out by troops of the 231 Tank Battalion in collaboration with local hunters, who acted on intelligence pointing to the suspects’ activities.

“Acting on the intelligence, troops moved swiftly to the location and successfully arrested the suspects,” a source was quoted as saying.

Items recovered from them include two mobile phones, two wristwatches, and a RAM module, all of which are now in military custody alongside the suspects as investigations continue.

In a related development, troops of Operation Hadin Kai also arrested two suspected ISWAP informants in Kaga LGA on March 19, signaling intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist networks in Borno State.
