The corps marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (frsc), Shehu Mohammed has warned motorists and members of the public against any form of assault on its personnel, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on attacks against operatives carrying out their lawful duties.

This comes after the arrest of a suspect involved in the assault of an FRSC patrol team in Edo State.

In a statement signed by the corps public education officer, Osondu Ohaeri, the corps marshal emphasized that assault on law enforcement officers is a serious criminal offence and will be met with the full weight of the law.

While acknowledging the suspect’s remorse, the corps reiterates that due process will be followed, and appropriate legal action will be pursued to serve as a deterrent to others.
