The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has announced that the written examination for prospective Police Constables will be conducted from April 28 to April 30, 2026, across the country.

According to a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, SP Edafe Bright, the examination will take place at designated centres in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The exercise is part of the ongoing recruitment process for both General Duty and Specialist applicants.

The Commission stated that only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate in the examination. Qualified applicants have been directed to visit the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Cards, which contain details of their specific exam date, time, and venue.

Applicants are required to present a valid National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), along with their printed invitation card and a pen. The prescribed dress code for the examination includes white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.

The PSC emphasized that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge and issued a strong warning against job racketeering and fraudulent activities. It cautioned applicants to avoid individuals or groups demanding payment in exchange for employment, noting that anyone found engaging in such acts would face strict legal consequences.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-based recruitment process while urging candidates to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided.
