Naval Officers Arrest 5 Suspected IPOB/ESN Members in Anambra

Operatives of the Nigerian Navy have arrested five suspects linked to activities of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and handed them over to the Department of State Services (DSS) in Anambra State.

The suspects were apprehended by the Naval Outpost Onitsha, following intelligence reports linking them to suspected criminal activities in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra State.

One of the suspects was identified as the coordinator of the group’s activities in the affected communities, while others were reportedly linked to the network.

Some incriminating items, such as IPOB flags, names of members and uniform, were recovered in the camp of the suspects.
