Group uncovers plan by enemies to incite govt Against Tantita

The Host Communities of Nigeria (HOSCON) Producing Oil and Gas has raised concerns over what it described as an alleged plot to undermine the operations of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.

In a letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and signed by the Chairman of HOSCON, HRM King Monday Whiskey, Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, the group alleged that certain interests within the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) are deliberately frustrating Tantita’s operations through delays in funding and payments.

According to HOSCON, the alleged delays have resulted in salary backlogs and operational challenges, with workers and subcontractors reportedly unpaid for nearly four months. The group warned that the situation could trigger unrest in the Niger Delta if not urgently addressed.

HOSCON commended Tantita’s role in combating crude oil theft and protecting oil facilities, noting that the company’s activities have contributed significantly to environmental and economic stability in the region. The group urged President Tinubu to investigate the allegations and ensure prompt intervention to prevent a potential crisis.

The organization also pledged to continue monitoring developments and exposing any actions it believes could undermine the success of the nation’s oil pipeline security operations.
