Osia Warns Against Attacks On Tompolo, Tantita, Fingers Certain Personalities of Behind Dividing Ijaw Nation

Former Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Government, Hon. David Osia, has cautioned against what he described as “unhealthy and sponsored attacks” on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.

In a statement on Thursday, Osia cautioned Chief Bibopre Ajube alias Shoot-at-Sight, Gen. Ben Ebimobowei alias Boyloaf, Chief Ayiri Emami, Jude Gbaboyor, Daniel Ezekiel, Yemi Otuedo, and Oliver Fejiro to desist from further attacks.

He said:
“I humbly advise Chief Bibopre Ajube alias Shoot-at-Sight, Gen Ben Ebimobowei alias Boyloaf, Chief Ayiri Emami, Jude Gbaboyor, Daniel Ezekiel, Yemi Otuedo and Oliver Fejiro to desist forthwith from every unhealthy attack against Tompolo.”

Osia further warned that they should not allow themselves to be used to destroy the unity of the Ijaw nation, adding that their actions portrait completely betrayed and lack of respect for ethics for laws and ethics of Ijaw nation.

“We must not allow ourselves to be used to destroy and divide the unity of the Ijaw nation, no personal interest, monetary gains, worth destroying Tompolo and Ijaw nation, -he cautioned.

Speaking further, Osia described Tompolo as an invaluable asset to the Niger Delta and the nation at large.

“Tompolo remains the key figure, a symbol of peace, stability and emancipation in the Niger Delta region. He has sacrificed so much for the Ijaw struggle and for the unity of our people, and does not deserve any form of pull him down attacks” he said.

“Today, through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Tompolo has demonstrated uncommon patriotism, capacity and commitment to Nigeria. Tantita has restored sanity to our waterways, drastically reduced crude oil theft, increased national oil production, and protected our environment from pollution caused by illegal bunkering,” Osia stated.

“Tantita is not just securing pipelines, it is securing the future of the Niger Delta. It has created thousands of jobs for our youths, empowered ex-agitators, and brought lasting peace to communities that were once hotbeds of crisis.”

“We have seen genuine peace advocacy, youth empowerment and purposeful leadership from Tompolo and Tantita. Any attack on him is an attack on the collective interest and progress of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta,” he concluded.
