The Olu of Warri on Sunday paid a visit to the Pere of the ancient Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom HRM King Couple Oromoni, the Amaokoso, the morben the III, in what has attracted varying interpretations from stakeholders within the Warri Federal Constituency. The visit brought together the two traditional rulers amid ongoing discussions surrounding political representation and ward delineation in the area.

According to some sources, the visit was aimed at seeking the release of one of the three wards allocated to Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom as part of efforts to achieve a 9–9 ward balance between the Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic groups. The sources claim that the move was intended to address concerns over political equity and representation within the constituency.

However, other sources have dismissed such claims, maintaining that the visit was purely a gesture of peace, solidarity, and the strengthening of the long-standing relationship between the Itsekiri and Ijaw people. They described the meeting as a traditional engagement focused on promoting harmony, unity, and peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic nationalities in the Warri area.
