PAP: Support Dr Otuaro, Ignore attention seekers, blackmailers calling for his Sack -IPDI
By Eric Chukwunoso, Warri
The leadership of the Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative, IPDI, has condemned in strong terms the unwarranted calls for the sack of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro.
The IPDI described those behind the call as a bunch of attention seekers, serial blackmailers and political hustlers who have made it a habit to extort public office holders for survival.
In a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Ozobo Austin, the group said the public should disregard and ignore the baseless agitations, as they lack merit and are borne out of malice and envy.
According to Ozobo, “Some of them are simply envious of the unprecedented reforms and track record of Dr. Otuaro, while others were being sponsored and paid to destabilize his purposeful leadership for selfish reasons.”
He noted that Dr. Otuaro has within a short period repositioned the PAP, restored transparency, prioritized the welfare of ex-agitators and returned the programme to the path of genuine empowerment and sustainability, a development that has unsettled those who benefited from the old rot.
“Their intention is to distract and blackmail a performing administrator. Niger Deltans are wiser and can see through their selfish agenda. No amount of sponsored propaganda will derail Otuaro’s commitment to the region,” Ozobo stated.
The IPDI therefore urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all stakeholders to discountenance their antics and continue to support Dr. Otuaro to consolidate his laudable achievements for the peace and development of the Niger Delta.
