The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Governor Caleb Muftwang and others have rallied the people of Plateau State to be at the forefront of the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on January 16, 2026.

They made the call on Wednesday in Jos, the state capital during the inauguration of state and local government structures of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement and unveiling of 25 vehicles and other campaign materials.

Speaking at the event, Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, who was represented Dr. Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, charged the people of Plateau to take the lead in the re-election of President Tinubu, informing them that the president prioritises their security and was committed to peace in the state.

He described the president as a man of courage, a patriot and reformer who has taken the bold step to reposition the country for the better.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a courageous man, a lover of country and a reformer. He is reforming the country and reforms as we all know take time.

“It is a gradual process and with time, it will trickle down to all our country men and women. Today, governors are paying salaries and on time, projects are being executed by governors, more investors are coming into our country, unlike before when no investments were coming in.

“Investments bring employment and when this happens, there is the trickledown effect. The situation we are in at the moment is like planting a seed. When you plant, it germinates and then brings forth fruits and all these require patience but the results are inevitable.

“Our Grand Patron has asked me to appeal to you to be patient and support the re-election of our President in 2026,” Pondi, quoting Tompolo, stated.

According to him, one result of the ongoing reforms is the state police bill which almost 30 state houses of assembly had passed.

“Nigeria will not remain the same after the reforms. President Tinubu deserves a second term. Japan, China and the Asian Tigers, it took them time to be where there are today, so with the reforms on ground, we will get there,” he said.

He charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to knock on every door, visit every market, market, mosque with the message for the re-election of the president, stressing that the President means well for Nigeria and deserves another four years to consolidate his administration’s reforms.

Speaking also, the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Yilwatda, said the people of Plateau have no reason not to vote en masse for President Tinubu in 2027 as he has continued to demonstrate goodwill to the people of the state and Nigeria in general.

“Re-elect the president and governor and all others on the ticket of the APC. Mr. President is a friend of the Plateau. No president has stood with us as President Tinubu.

“So you know, he has deployed the DSS to Bokkos, to Riyom and other areas to address the issue of insecurity. This is the President taking practical steps on security. He has directed the establishment and deployment of more brigades and battalions and more men on the ground.
“I want to tell you about forest guards with Plateau being amongst nine states benefitting from the first phase. They will be deployed and they will man every space. They will come from our sons and daughters. If you betray us, you have betrayed our people.

“The State Police Bill is close to being passed. The implication is that police will be from Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, Kanke and from our communities. Nobody can come from outside and kill us like chickens. Criminals will be fished out and dealt with.

“It is on record that since 1971 no major project has been done in Plateau State. But today, the Akwanga-Jos Road dualisation is ongoing with billions voted for it. The Mararaba toJerma to Shendam through Pankshin Road is on the table. The roads are with street lights, cameras etc.

“Let me remind all of us that I, your son, is the National Chairman and you know what that means. Atiku was VP for 8 years, show one road from him. Only one borehole, and keke to the people of Plateau. Once again, I say, we have no reason not to vote the president in 2027 and all candidates of the APC.”

In his address at the event, Governor Caleb Muftwang commended Tompolo for showing leadership with the movement for the re-election of the president and informed the people that it was time to move from door-to-door as was done in 2023 and repeat the feat.

He disclosed that “I made up my mind since June 2023 to travel with the president as a man that is leading Nigeria forward. The enemies of Nigeria will not win. The president is committed to our security and across the country.

“The project of improving the economy is on the right track. If we keep pursuing these policies, we will eat the good of the land. We will not change our driver now. The driver you know is better, let’s stick with him.

“There is no need to change the power sharing arrangement between the north and south. We must be promise keepers and must stick with the president. PBAT Door-to-Door must continue to demonstrate that love.

“With time, we are going to reap the benefit of our son being the national chairman. Plateau will give the president the highest votes in the region,” the governor said.

Earlier, the National Coordinator of the Movement, Comrade Sunday Asuku, said the visit to Plateau State like to other states in the country is to remind the people that they have only one choice in 2027: President Tinubu.

“We are here on the Plateau that there is only one choice, and that choice is President Tinubu. Nigeria is on the right track and we cannot make the mistake of derailing.

“Let me commend the governor and our National Chairman who are supporting the president to lead our country to the Promised Land.

“Do not let the opposition deceive you with empty promises. When they come, tell them, ‘No vacancy at the Presidency and in the governorship. A vote for continuity is to do more in sustaining the reforms. Follow a reformer, follow a performer,” Asuku stated.

The event had in attendance the National Assembly members, Speaker of the House of Assembly, state party chairman, party elders, women and youth groups.
