Power Supply Restored to Karu Keffi, Akwanga
By Micheal Chukwuebuka
The Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN has completed the reconstruction of three collapsed transmission towers and restored the Karu–Keffi–Akwanga 132kV transmission line, restoring a critical electricity transmission link serving parts of the country.
TCN says the restoration re-established the transmission pathway supplying the 132/33kV Keffi and Akwanga Transmission Stations, following weeks of disruption caused by the collapse of the towers.
The three towers collapsed earlier this October after heavy rainfall and strong wind damaged the transmission infrastructure.
TCN reiterates its commitment to maintaining, upgrading and strengthening its transmission infrastructure to improve the reliability and efficiency of electricity transmission across Nigeria.
