By Daniel Njienue, Warri
The Warri Federal Constituency House of Representatives Candidate for the National Democratic Party (NDP), Chief Dr Sheriff Mulade has taken his ‘Light of Hope Transformation’ Campaign to Ogbinbiri and Ogbudugbudu communities in Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State as part of his official flag-off of Community-to-Community and House-to-House visitation campaign on Thursday.
However, Mulade also commissioned the NDP party office in Koko for visibility and easy communication amongst the electorate and the party.
Speaking at the commissioning, Mulade asserted that the National Democratic Party (NDP) Koko office ward chapter was to enable the people to reach out to him and the party in general, “we strongly believe that the 2027 general election is for candidate with capacity and courage to speak for the people and this office will serve as a chain of communication between us and the grassroots level”, he noted.
He further added that the essence of the NDP party chapter office in koko, Warri North is to facilitate quarterly and annually meetings for public engagement, and job creation for the youths to be gainfully employed while expanding to other communities.
The NDP candidate and his team received warm reception by Chief Bernard Sule, the Amakosuwei of Ogbinbiri Community, alongside his council of Chiefs, youths and other members of the community who expressed their faith in his political aspiration.
He was cheered and entertained with various groups of dancers which made everyone during the campaign excited and happy.
Meantime, Chief Mulade who expressed trust in God and confidence in the masses, noted that his administration would be the beginning of a new turn around in Warri Federal Constituency.
He emphasised that the “Light of Hope Transformation cause” is not just a political stunt but a social contract with accountability as a watch word in his administration, noting that every word of promise must be met with action, making sure no project would be left untouched.
In a related development, during his visitation in the Ogbudugbudu community, Chief Tuesday Baidi, one of the council chiefs lamented about government negligence in addressing key infrastructural projects in the community, stating that the community lacked good accessible roads.
Baidi, demanded that a link up bridge between Ufunama community in Edo state and Ogbinbiri community in Delta state would make both communities accessable by roads, while lamenting over the poor state of water in the community and also urged Chief Mulade to use his office to attract tertiary institution to Ogbudugbudu community when finally elected as a member of house of representatives, representing Warri federal constituency.
