How Tompolo turned down N25m bribe, arrested vessel with stolen crude, others

The Chief Executive Officer of a surveillance company, Tantita, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemukpolo, popularly known as Tompolo has recovered another large quantity of stolen crude following the award of a federal government surveillance contract to him to protect Nigeria’s pipelines.

It was reported that Tompolo’s security company intercepted and seized a very big vessel loaded with stolen crude oil at Escravos River on Monday.

According to the Tantita crew, the captain of the vessel tried to bribe them with N25 million Naira and promised to pay him in dollars just to allow them to escape.

The Eight persons, who were working in the vessel were arrested. They were caught and arrested while stealing crude oil from the Escravos Pipeline in Warri South West LGA, Delta state.

It would be recalled that Tompolo had discovered a total of 58 illegal bunkering points and pipelines through which crude oil thieves siphon oil in Delta and Bayelsa States.
