Police nab suspected kidnappers, recover AK 47 rifle, ammunition

The detectives attached to Agbor Area Command in Delta state have arrested suspected kidnappers and recovered AK 47 rifle and 59 rounds of 7.63mm ammunition in late September.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Delta State Police Command spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe on FFriday

According to him, On September 31, 2022, at about 1700hours, an indigene of the Mbiri community reported that on 20/10/2022, three armed hoodlums attempted to rob him of his Lifan motorcycle, along Mbiri road, Umunede, stressing that on the strength of this complaint, on 5/11/2022, detectives attached to Agbor Area Command who were detailed to investigate, arrested one of the suspects Isiaku Mohammed A.K.A Soldier ‘m’ age 21yrs.

He further said on 9/11/2022, the suspect led detectives to their hideout in Umunede where two other suspects were arrested and one AK47 rifle and fifty-nine rounds of 7.62mm ammunition buried in the ground were recovered, noting that manhunt for the other members of the gang is ongoing.
