Ahead of the 2023 general elections, former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Reyieneju, a PDP chieftain in Delta state has resigned his membership from the party.

The lawmaker who represented Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives announced his resignation from the party via a statement on his official Facebook page.

Reyieneju, however, did not disclose the new party he plans to join.

In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ogheye Ward 1 in Warri North Local Government Area, Reyenieju said:

“It is with a deep sense of responsibility that I tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

“My time with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) exposed me to various democratic experiences, from electoral VICTORIES to losses.

“But whatever I come out with, I ensure not to be carried away or giving in despair-soldier on.

“I am particularly appreciative to the party for creating a platform upon which I had won 3 consecutive elections to the Federal House of Representatives and for the unending friendships we created along the way.

“I thank you for the recognition and support accorded me whilst a member of the PDP.

“It is my earnest wish and prayer that God Almighty intervenes in the affairs of Delta State since man has deliberately and consistently failed to make the right decisions,” he added.
