Niger Delta leader, Eregbene is dead

Niger Delta agitator, activist and a community leader Chief Saturday Eregbene, is dead.

The incident occurred on Friday morning. He died after a protracted illness in an undisclosed hospital in Warri.

It was learnt that late Chief Eregbene was a voice in Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large.

The death of Eregbene was confirmed to Congress by Chief Yusuf Eregbene, a younger brother to the deceased activist.

Yusuf further, stated that the body of late Saturday Eregbene has been deposited in the morgue in Warri.

However, late Saturday Eregbene hailed from Kalafuogbene and Enekorogha Communities in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.
