Accident Victim: Police call for identification of corpse in Asaba morgue

The Delta State police command has called for the identification of an unidentified and unclaimed accident corpse deposited in St. James Hospital Mortuary, Illah in Asaba.

This was contained in a statement by its spokesman DSP Bright Edafe on Friday.

The police spokesman said the unidentified corpse was involved in an accident along Illah/Asaba expressway by Ngegwu market involving a Sienna Car with Registration Number JRV 398 ZY driven by one Chima Uzor ‘m’ with a head collision with a Daylong Motorcycle.

The statement urged members of the public with useful information about the unclaimed accident corpse to come up for claim.

The statement reads, “The photograph on your screen is that of a deceased whose name and address are unknown. He was involved in an accident along Illah/Asaba expressway by Ngegwu market involving a Sienna Car with Registration Number JRV 398 ZY driven by one Chima Uzor ‘m’ collided with a Daylong Motorcycle. The corpse has been deposited at St. James Hospital Mortuary Illah.

“Any person(s) who knows the victim, his parents, friend or other relatives should report at Motorpol Asaba, St James Hospital Mortuary Illah or police public relations office, police headquarters Asaba for possible identification and collection of a corpse,” the statement urged.
