Again, Lagos Assembly rejects 3 Gov Sanwo-Olu’s commissioners nominees

Despite the advice of the city’s political elders, the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday rejected three of the governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s 18 nominations for commissioner while confirming 15 others, in yet another unexpected action.

The confirmation took place following the presentation of a report on the process to the House by Hon. Mojeed Fatai, chief whip and head of the screening committee.

The MPs rejected Olalere Odusote, Mr. Samuel Egube, and Hon. Tolani Sule Akibu at a meeting presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

However, the House decided to postpone Hon. Tolani Sule Akibu’s confirmation for another day.

Obasa praised the committee, stating the members did an excellent job of thoroughly assessing the candidates, and his position.
