Agediga leads DESOPADEC team to handover medical equipment to cottage hospital in Delta

The Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Amb. Dr. Shedrack Agediga had led a team of staff in the commission to handed over a full range of modern medical equipment and consumables to the management of the cottage hospital at Ogulagha in Burutu LGA.

Speaking at the event Agediga said he was representing the Managing Director/CEO of the Commission, Bashorun Askia Ogieh who is committed to the overall welfare of the oil-bearing communities, in the areas of health care, infrastructural development and amongst others, as the current initiative of the commission.

The DESOPADEC ED unraveled a mini scorecard of demand-driven projects he had been privileged to influence and supervise across the Ijaw oil-bearing landscape.

He particularly thanked the people for their unalloyed trust and faithfulness to the State Government over the years, urging them to sustain the electoral tempo with die-hard support at the forthcoming democratic process.

However, the items donated to the hospital by the Commission included office long executive chairs, women delivery beds, file cabinets, wheel chairs, theatre gowns for nurses, oxygen concentrators and cylinders, weight scale for babies and adults, nebulizers, sterilizing units, amongst many others.

Among those who were in attendance were the Managing Director of the hospital, Dr. Anthony Mormah; Dr. Doubra Okotete, Resident Doctor, Mrs. Seimode Victoria, Chief Matron, Mrs. Rose Ebosah, Matron.

Others included Amb. Comr. Bebapere T. John, Ogulagha Community Chairman; Comr. Abel Inaibo, Secretary General; Dr. Michael Ekotogbo, Head, Medical Services Dept., DESOPADEC; Engr. Felix Braboke, SA to the Executive Director, PRS, DESOPADEC; Engr. Felix Oyazimor, TA to the Executive Director, amongst others.
