Uproar as APC fixes presidential form at N100million

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it would fixed nomination form for president for N100million, a development that had caused resentment in the political arena.

The party also said it would commence sales of nomination and expression of interest forms for various electoral offices in the party from Saturday, April 23, 2022.

A statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, stated this at the end of the 11th National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.

Morka stressed that the party had pegged its presidential nomination and expression of interest forms at N100 million.

According to the party’s chieftain, the nomination form would cost N70 million while expression of interest forms would be placed at N30 million.

This position of the party had received various opposing reactions. The party’s national women leader, Betta Edu, had seriously oppose the development.

However, the party had earlier disclosed that women are entitled to free nomination forms but would pay for their expression of interest forms.
