Anxiety as tank farm explosion injures one in Delta

A tank farm operated by Ebeco Global Link has gutted fire at Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state, causing multiple explosions.

It was learned that one person sustained injury in the incident, which occured on Friday morning causing pandemonium in the area as the fire was tense.

However, the cause of the fire incident could not be immediately ascertained. Fire fighting vehicles had mobilised to the area to arrest the situation.It could not be confirmed at press time if there was any death or casualty from the explosions.

Although, the Chief Executive Officer, Chairperson and Managing Director of the firm, Mr. Ebenezer Oluwagbemiga could not be reached for immediate confirmation on the incident.

However, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) confirmed the explosion.

He said one person sustained injuries while there was no report of any death and that the situation has been brought under control.
