The statement reads, ” On behalf of the APC South South Youth Council (APC SSYC), I would like to celebrate and extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Samuel Ogbuku MD/CEO NDDC on receiving the prestigious award as the Interventionist Agency of the Year from the Independent Newspaper. We commend your leadership and vision, which have been instrumental in driving the NDDC’s mission to facilitate the rapid development of the Niger Delta region.
“Under Dr. Ogbuku’s administration, the NDDC has achieved significant milestones in empowering communities, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting social welfare initiatives. His efforts in promoting youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and environmental remediation are truly commendable. As the NDDC marks its 21st anniversary, we celebrate its contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region.
“However, we humbly appeal to Dr. Ogbuku to carry the APC youth in the South South region along in your empowerment schemes. Despite submitting our list for consideration, none of our members have been selected or nominated for empowerment. We believe that it is essential to support the youth, who are the future leaders of our great nation.
“Empowerment programmes can have a significant impact on reducing unemployment and promoting development among young people. In fact, studies have shown that youth empowerment programmes can be effective in enhancing the livelihoods of young people and promoting community development.
“We would be grateful if you could consider our appeal and provide opportunities for the APC youth in the South South region to benefit from your administration’s empowerment programmes. Your support would go a long way in empowering our APC youth to contribute to the party’s growth and promoting the development of our region.
“We assure Dr. Ogbuku of our unwavering support and commitment to his vision for the Niger Delta region. We recognise his efforts in promoting youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and environmental remediation. We are confident that his leadership will continue to drive positive change in the region”, he added.
