APGA Wins All 21 Chairmanship, Councillorship seats In Anambra

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has won all 21 Chairmanship, Councilorship seats across the Anambra State local government elections.

 

Congress learnt that the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission in Anambra State, ANSIEC, Genevieve Osakwe, decleared the results at the ANSIEC office in Awka.

 

Meanwhile, ANSIEC Chairman while announcing the results said, the election was free and fair, adding that the ANSIEC carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no errors.

 

She also emphasised that none of opposition parties and their party agents came to the ANSIEC office where the election results were announced.

 

“The people of Anambra State went out en masse to exercise their franchise and appreciated the security agencies for ensuring peace and due process throughout the electoral exercise.

 

“The result of the chairmanship and councillorship election held on September 28, 2024. The commission carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no mistakes.

 

“We cautiously collated and analysed the outcomes of the elections to reflect the due process and ensure that there was error free. All the scores and the parties were declared at the polling units yesterday. We are here today to validate the results as recorded.

 

“Election held at all the polling units across the State on September 28, was free, fair and credible,” she added.
