Two absconding deviant defendants have been apprehended by the police in Warri, following the court order.

Congress learnt that the magistrate court sitting in Effurun -Warri, Delta State on Thursday, ordered for the arrest of the two absconded defendants and their sureties failure to appear in the court when the case was mentioned.

Again, our correspondent reported that the deviant defendants were arrested after a few hours of the said court order.

However, the irate thugs parading under the euphoria of the Uvwie Local Government task force are currently cooling in the police cell.

Recall, during the #Endbadgovernance protest in Effurun, a rights activist and lawyer, Omes Ogedegbe was assaulted and brutally injured when he was responded to a distress call over serious assault on peaceful protesters by the said arraigned defendants.

The said rights lawyer was rushed to the hospital for an emergency response. After five days he was discharged to his home, he collapsed when addressing members of the confab in a meeting.

It was gathered that since the incident the rights lawyer had approached the court of justice.
