Ayu’s mission was to loot commonwealth of PDP – Wike lashes out

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has alleged that the suspended National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu came to the party with an agenda to loot the party.

Addressing a section of journalists, Wike said: “Ayu had an agenda, he came to amass wealth, and I have said this before. Do you know how many people have given him money? Is Ayu not building a university? Where did the money come from?”

The Rivers governor had said it was wrong for the North to produce a National Chairman and presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

In the heat of the face-off, Wike had accused Ayu of corrupt practices.
