Bandits, on Thursday, abducted a director in Federal Housing Authority, Federal Capital Territory, identified as Aondo Ver, from his home, during an attack about 200 metres close to a military base in Pambara in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja.

The kidnappers who struck around 12.30am on Thursday, shooting spuriously, causing fear in the area, before absconded through the bushes with the victim.

Residents who confirmed the incident to our news men on Thursday disclosed that the military officers were stationed at a military camp which was about 200 metres away from where the director was kidnapped in Pambara Extension.

They further explained that residents of the area that were attacked by bandits, included military personnel that are both serving and retired, and civilians.

According to a reliable source, the Bandits attacked Pambara Extension at the night period, at about 12:30 am on (Thursday), and they abducted one of our neighbours, Mr Aondo Ver, Director in Federal Housing Authority, FCT.

The attack happened very close to the military base at the entrance of Bwari very close to Pambara Extension. The part of Pambara Extension where Mr Ver was kidnapped is just about 200 metres away from the military base. But the kidnappers escaped with the victim through the bush path.

Another resident added, “the attack is still a surprised to us. Our estate is very close to the military base at the entrance of Bwari, and there are a lot of serving and retired military officers staying here with us, yet these bandits were so brave to attack this place and kidnaped Mr Ver.”
