Bandits Kill 3 Pregnant Women, Several Others in Fresh Plateau Attack

At least 13 people have been killed and several others injured after gunmen launched a deadly midnight attack on Ngbra Zongo community in Kwall District of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The attack reportedly happened around 12 a.m. on Friday, May 8, while residents were asleep.

According to reports, the assailants stormed the community, shooting sporadically and forcing terrified residents to flee for safety.

A resident, Mr. Philip Alanga, said the attackers moved from house to house targeting innocent people.

“They came into the community and started shooting. They moved from one house to another attacking innocent people,” he said.

Another resident, Mr. Chigoji Rocku, revealed that three pregnant women were among those killed during the assault.
