Bayelsa Landlord flings off tenant’s two months baby from storey building

A suspected landlord has been allegedly accussed of throwing off a two months bay belonging to a tenant in Amassoma Community in Bayelsa state.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday when the said landlord perpetrated the act.

A facebook post by one Tari, explained that the landlord’s action led to the death of the two months child.

It was gathered that the baby was the first child of the tenant, noting that the incident caused pandemonium in the community.

He further narrated that the landlord came demanding for payment when the rent supposed to expired by November 2021, adding that some days back the man brought prospecting tenant to check the house when the rent of the current tenant has not expired.

It was learnt the landlord came to the house on Wednesday again and locked up the husband(tenant), and the wife who was outside, came quarrelling him for his unsuposed action. But during the altercation the baby who was earlier seized by the landlord felt off his hand and landed on the ground from the storey building and eventual died on the spot.

The source said the dedication of the child was slated for the upcoming Sunday and all preparations were done when the ugly incident took place.

The landlord was narrowly escaped being lynched as the issue raised eyebrows in the community.

When contacted, the Bayelsa command’s police, PRO, SP Asinim Butswat, confirmed the story. He said the Landlord has been arrested and would be prosecuted.
