Biakpara rejoices with Okowa for emerging as Atiku’s running mate

Former military governor and frontline political leader of Delta State, Wing Commander Chief P.Y Biakpara has felicitated His Excellency Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for clinching the vice president ticket in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

This was made available to Congress correspondents in Warri Delta state on Friday morning.

However, the forthright Ijaw leader, P.Y Biakpara expressed satisfaction with the decision by the vice president screening committee that H.E Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa is the right man for the VP job.

He further commended Atiku Abubakar for choosing Okowa as his running mate in the party, adding that he(Okowa) had all it takes to preside over Nigeria as vice president.

“It is key to note that Okowa is a strategist, a man who can be entrusted with bigger and higher responsibilities. We are assured of him delivering on his higher responsibility,” he added.

Biakpara urged Deltans to expect big with Okowa manning the seat of vice president in the country come 2023.
