Bobi commends FG over registration of Motorcycles union

National President, Motorcycles Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN), Comrade Julius Oghenevwegba Bobi, has commended the federal government for registering the body and pledged selfless service and positive collaboration with the Labour movement.

Bobi, who received the registration certificate, also held a meeting with the Chief of Staff to the National President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Chris Onyeka (middle) and others at Labour House, Abuja.

He stated: “It’s with great joy that we received our labour union certificate from the Registrar of Trade Union, Mr. Amos Falonipe, on Monday 11th September, 2023.

According to unionist, “ It has given us the opportunity to carry out our operations in the way and manner regulated by law, as we have the full backing to exist as an entity without harassment and molestation by anybody”

He stated, “ We are by this poised to achieve our mission and vision statements as our core values and what we stand for.”

Meanwhile, the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Secretary General, Comrade Nuhu Toro, while congratulating MOUN said the registration showed the efforts put in as well as the dedication, commitment, strength and unity of its members and officials.

TUC’s President, Engineer Festus Osifo, and National Administrative Council (NAC), Toro pledged the central Labour organization’s support for MOUN.

He also tasked the leadership of MOUN to serve its members with integrity and courage.
