Combined security operatives including the army, DSS, NCSDC and mobile police men have clashed with protesting Ogbe-Ijoh community youths as Chief Sheriff Oborevwori’s governorship campaign team visited the Warri South West local government council on Monday.

The aggrieved youths who stormed the campaign arena with placards to express their pains as regards the prevailing communal crisis of both communities were stopped and harassed by both the security operatives and political thugs at the event.

The security operatives and the political thugs at the arena disrupted the protest as the youths were completely denied access to air their grievances before the speaker of Delta State House of Assembly during his governorship campaign visit in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.

Congress correspondents who were live at the event gathered the protesters were allegedly ambushed because it was not fair the governorship aspirant is embarrassed being the first among other aspirants to visit the local government council since the commencement of political campaigns in the state.

Others also argued that he knows nothing about the crisis between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities, noting that he shouldn’t be dragged into the war of the both communities.

However, the protesting youths said they were protesting against injustice meted for the community in Okowa over seven years administration.

Why. the speaker does not know what has been going on for quit some time. This administration has failed to address relevant issues, especially the one of Ogbe -Ijoh and her neighboring community-Aladja.And you want to contest for Governor. How could this be possible in a civilized society. Please, the Ijaw people should think well on this particular matter. Please ,vote wisely.
