BREAKING: NEC Gives Kwara, Adamawa, FCT One-Week Ultimatum

The National Economic Council, NEC, has given a one-week ultimatum to Kwara, Adamawa and Federal Capital Territory, FCT, to submit their report on the establishment of State police in the country.

 

 

Meanwhile, Recall that NEC had came up with a resolution to adopt a all-inclusive report from the 36 States of the Country, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, that would give birth to the creation of State Police.

 

However, NEC had warned and issued a binding decision to the states that fail to submit their report before the one week ultimatum.

 

 

Meantime, the President had also on February 15, 2024, agreed that the need to establish State Police as become an existential one as resolved by state governors.

 

The move is aimed at maintain the rising insecurity in the country.

 

Hence, States had been urged to submit their reports to the Council for determination and further action.
