Breaking: Rival groups exchange gunfire in Igbudu market

There is heavy tension in Egbudu market, popularly known as Hausa quarters in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta state following a reported shooting of rival groups on Friday afternoon.

The incident had caused serious panic and gridlock in the popular market as residents, motorists and traders scampered for safety.

A reliable source said some persons had been shot by the yet to be identified gunmen releasing gunfire.

However, members of the public had been warned to steer clear from the area for now.

Meanwhile, the cause of the shooting and whose groups were behind the attacks were still unknown at press time.

However, efforts to contact the police authorities for comment proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
