Breaking: Rivers former Commissioner, George dumps APC

A former chairman of the reconciliation committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Dr Dawari George, has resigned from the party.

The APC scribe who is a strong ally of the former minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi announced on Friday in Port Harcourt.

Dr Dawari George, who was also a former commissioner for youths in Rivers State, in a letter of resignation, thanked the party for the support he got when he served in different capacities while with them.

He, however, did not state the reason for his decision in a letter addressed to the chairman of APC ward One (1) in Asari Toru Local Government Area.

His resignation comes days after Golden Ben Chioma, a member of the party announced his resignation from the party.
