BREAKING: Senator Jibrin elected as deputy senate president

Members of the 10th Senate have elected Senator Barau Jibrin as the deputy senate president.

The announcement was made by the Clark of the House who presided over the nomination process.

He was nominated by former Enugu state Governor, Senator David Nweze Umahi as he reads his citation after which the nominee accepted the nomination.

The Clerk of the Red Chamber after asking for further nominations, declared Senator Jibrin Barau as Deputy Senate President unopposed.

Senator Barau was thereafter sworn in as Deputy Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.
