JUST IN: Reps Reject Six-year single-term Bill for President, Governors

The bill sponsored by senator Ikenga Ugochinyere and others seeking to cut down the tenure of the President and Governors to a single tenure of 6years has been jettisoned in the House of Representatives.

 

 

Meanwhile, The bill was debated on thursday before lawmakers and they rejected it.

 

However, the bill also sought to amend the 1999 Constitution to reduce the tenure of the lawmakers.
