Breaking: Warri submerged over heavy downpour

Again, heavy downpour has flooded Warri and its environs, submerging several houses and roads in the oil city on Friday Evening.

Amongst some submerged areas were Okumagba Estate, Avenue, Apala, Edjeba, marine quarters, Ijaw quarters, market road, Morogun and others.

The roads were heavily flooded, causing traffic jamb and gridlock in some areas of the city.

However, residents have called on governor Ifeanyi Okowa to expand his drainage project in Warri to all major flood prone areas in the city.
