CAF Removes Nigeria, Libya From AFCON March Timetable

The Confederation of African Football has expunge Group D second-leg fixture of the ongoing 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier March between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
Meanwhile, the march was formerly fixed to kick-start at Libya by 8 pm after the first leg took place in Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo State on Friday.
The Super Eagles beat the Mediterranean Knights by a one to noon goal at the dying minute of the game.
However, the return leg had been orchestrated by serious controversy after the Super Eagles players and officials experienced 14 hours abandonment at the Libya airport leading them to return to Nigeria.
“CAF said it had instituted a committee to investigate the incident after the Libyan Football Federation claims sabotage and threatened to sue Nigeria.
The African football commission further updated games that would be played on Tuesday without including the Libya versus Nigeria game on its X handle.
