Christmas: Bauchi Governor Urges Peaceful Cohabitation

Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has urged all residents, regardless of their religious affiliation, to embrace peaceful cohabitation and concord over the holiday season.

The governor asked for prayer for a more prosperous future and introspection on the past year’s deeds in his goodwill speech on Sunday.

In addition to highlighting the importance of Jesus Christ’s birth and emphasizing the lessons of love, peace, honesty, and respect for one another, he expressed thankfulness for another Christmas.

Mohammed emphasized the need to coexist peacefully despite differences and urged friends to get closer and schedule visits, especially between Christians and adherents of other religions.

The governor reaffirmed the government’s dedication to public safety, emphasizing that security services will work together to successfully counter threats.

In addition, he pledged to work harder during his second term to bring improvement in the areas of infrastructure, health, education, and economic empowerment while requesting the people’s ongoing support and cooperation.
