Court Fixes October 26 to Rule on El-Rufai’s No-Case Submission

The Federal High Court in Abuja has reserved ruling on the no-case submission filed by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in his ongoing trial over alleged unlawful wire tapping.

El-Rufai, as the defendant in the matter, is being tried for wire tapping the telephone conversations of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

At the resumed hearing, the prosecution and defence counsels adopted their written addresses on El-Rufai’s no-case submission.

The prosecution counsel prayed the court to overrule the no-case submission and order the defendant to enter his defence.

Justice Abdulmalik subsequently adjourned the matter until October 26, 2026, for ruling.
