Defence headquarters donate 5 patrol vehicles to Delta police command

Delta State Police Command has received donation of five operational Hilux patrol vehicles from the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor on Wednesday.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe disclosed this to Congress newspaper in a statement on Wednesday August 4, 2022 in Asaba.

According to the CDS, the vehicles were donated in the Spirit of inter-agency cooperation.
Meantime, they were presented on behalf of the CDS by the 63 Brigade Commander, General Mayeranso David Saraso.

Irabor who was represented by the Brigade Commander 63 brigade, maintained that the gesture was to support and enhance the performance of the Police in the security of life and property across the State considering the need to assist other security agencies with the required tools to help in security.

However, the Patrol vehicles were received by the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ and members of the Command’s management team.

The CP in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Defence Staff for the benevolent, adding that the gesture exhibited by the CDS was one of the uncommon love expressed, which would in no small way boost the morale of Police personnel in the State.

“It was a day of happiness for the Command, that the gesture exhibited by the CDS is one of the kind, uncommon and quite unbelievable gestures, which will in no small way boost the morale of Police personnels in the State”, he added.

The CP assured the CDS that the vehicle would be put into good use and it would definitely enhance the fight against crime and criminality across State.
